Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 16, 2026

1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Vouchstone LLC ("Vouchstone," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites, dashboard, and documentation portal (collectively, the "Services"). It supplements the Privacy Policy.

Vouchstone is a California-based company. This policy is written to comply with the EU ePrivacy Directive, the GDPR, the UK PECR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), and other applicable laws.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. References to “cookies” in this policy include those technologies.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary

Required for the Services to function. Cannot be disabled without breaking authentication or security.

  • vouchstone-auth — session authentication token (localStorage)
  • csrf_token — CSRF protection
  • lb_session — load-balancer affinity

3.2 Analytics

Aggregated, IP-truncated usage data we use to improve the Services. Optional. We do not use these cookies for advertising and we do not share them with third-party ad networks.

  • vs_analytics_id — pseudonymous visitor identifier (90-day expiry)
  • vs_page_view — per-session page-view counter

3.3 Preferences

Remember your settings between visits. Optional.

  • vouchstone-theme — light / dark / system
  • vouchstone-locale — language preference
  • vouchstone-sidebar — expanded / collapsed sidebar state

4. What We Do Not Use

  • We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
  • We do not share cookie data with third-party ad networks for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We do not sell personal information collected via cookies.
  • We do not use cookies to fingerprint your device beyond the categories above.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can manage cookies in three ways:

  • Cookie Settings on This Site: to change your choices at any time.
  • Browser Settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking Strictly Necessary cookies will break sign-in.
  • Do Not Track: We honor the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal — if set, we disable analytics cookies for your session.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor the GPC signal as required by the CCPA. When detected, we treat it as a valid opt-out from sale or sharing (we do not sell or share in any case, so behavior is identical).

6. Third-Party Services

Some Services rely on third-party processors that may set their own cookies:

  • Stripe — payment processing (only on billing and checkout pages)
  • Cloudflare — DDoS protection and CDN

These third parties operate under their own privacy policies. A current sub-processor list is available on request to privacy@vouchstone.ai.

7. Cookie Retention

  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies expire on the timeline listed against each cookie above; analytics identifiers expire after 90 days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the dashboard and reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
